Boat Trips For Wildlife Watching, Sea Angling
The Owner / Skipper Jim Dickson has been a seafarer or closely connected with the sea for most of his life.
On leaving school he joined BP Tanker Company and served up to the rank of Chief Officer. Then he gained an MSc in Maritime Science at Cardiff University and joined Chervon Petroleum as Marine Supervisor. Whilst working in Aberdeen he was the Assistant Cox'an of the Aberdeen lifeboat. In 1980 he joined the Ports and Harbours Department of the Shetland Islands Council retiring in 2008 as Harbour Master / Pilot Master / General Manger. He was awarded an MBE in 1994 for services to the environment.
Jim is also a Green Badge Tourist Guide and has a wealth of knowledge of Shetland history, wild life, archeology and geography of the area.
As a life long sea angler Jim knows what to catch, when and where. Indeed Jim has fished world wide and last year had a wonderful fishing experience in Great Barrier Island, New Zealand.
